Good old farmhouse sweet country favourites are what we do best here on Cradle Country Farm – Those amazing nostalgic desserts that are as delicious now as they were back in the day. Traditional tried and true recipes for moreish apple and rhubarb tarts, tangy lemon meringue pie, fresh fruit cobblers and a match made in heaven, truffled crème brulee, you will learn simple tips and tricks to help you on your way. Turn out delightful desserts, coupled with easy peasy, home-made custards and ice-creams to impress the most discerning pâtissier.
Of course, the day would not be complete without a trip around the farm, with baskets in hand and a sturdy right arm. Then off to the orchard to forage fresh fruit from the trees, your apples, berries and lemons with ease. Head down to grab some rhubarb from the patch - Or pick a sprig of lavender or spearmint to match.
As well as making delicious sweets, you will learn how to add truffle with gay abandon to give your desserts that je ne sais quoi!
And, to celebrate your day in the sweet country air, it is back to the Truffledore to sample your fare. With a long table lunch in our own Truffledore, you will share food and laughter and dessert once more.
At the end of the day, you will take home great memories and plenty of simple know how to impress your friends and delight your family with delicious home-made desserts.
